Unit duel
Pick two units, a weapon and a distance — we will work out which armor sectors it penetrates and how many shots it takes.

EstimateCalculated from the game data, without randomness, cover or crew skill
- Armor by sector, health, penetration, damage, rate of fire, aiming and projectile speed come from the game files for the chosen loadout.
- Kinetic rounds (APFSDS, AP, bullets) lose penetration with distance — linearly from the point-blank value to the value at maximum range. HEAT and missiles penetrate the same at any distance.
- Penetrates — penetration is at least the armor, full damage. Partial — penetration falls short by no more than 15%, damage 25–60% (a model estimate, not the game formula). Otherwise no damage. Top attack always hits the top.
- Time includes aiming, bursts, magazine and reload, and the flight of the shell or missile; a guided missile waits until the previous one arrives. We assume the target stands still and every shot hits the chosen sector.
- APS intercepts missiles while it has charges — at most one per APS cooldown (no data — 4 charges and 6 s). APS does not intercept gun shells.
- Target and range come from the ammunition data: ground range against infantry and vehicles, low altitude against helicopters, high altitude against aircraft.
- Not included: dispersion and misses, cover and forests, area damage (single target), suppression, crew experience and damage falloff with distance.
